Rachel is a fully accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist who specialises in anxiety related disorders, addictions, self esteem, depression and work/study related stress. Rachel has extensive knowledge and experience, having worked in the mental health and well being field for over 25 years as a social worker and therapist. Throughout that time, Rachel has worked for mental health charities, statutory services , (NHS) Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) service and as a university lecturer.
Rachel currently works as a CBT Therapist for The Priory in Harley Street, London and for Anxiety UK; combined with private practice. In addition to this, Rachel works as a student wellbeing mentor and Practice Educator (PE) at the University of Warwick and Coventry University.
Rachel takes an integrative approach using CBT, and skills from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) and Solution Focused Therapy (SFT) and Mindfulness teachings.
