She is a BABCP accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist who worked in the NHS for their Improving Access to Psychological Therapies Service (IAPT) up until 2015, when she incorporated CBT into her own private practice. As an experienced CBT Therapist Rachel has worked with PTSD, Phobias, OCD, Depression, Stress, Health Anxiety, Social Anxiety and Shyness, Generalised Anxiety, Self Esteem, Confidence building, addictive behaviours such as alcohol and substance misuse to name but a few. Rachel has also co facilitated workshops such as anxiety and stress management. She is also on the NHS Find A Therapist Directory and has fully up to date DBS (formerly known as CRB checked).
She is also a fully qualified Clinical Hypnotherapist graduating from St Mary’s University, London with a 2.1 BSc in Clinical Hypnotherapy. In her time working as a hypnotherapist she has hands on experience of a range of issues including weight loss, addictions, smoking cessation, phobias, stress management, relaxation, anxiety disorders, confidence and self esteem.
Rachel is a HCPC fully registered Social Worker and acts as Practice Educator to Social Work Students from both Coventry University and the University of Warwick sitting on a panel for quality assurance of Social Work degrees and also participating in admissions selection to the degree courses. As a part time Lecturer, Rachel lectured and facilitated seminars for Adult and Mental Health Nursing students at Coventry University teaching on their degree courses.
Gaining extensive knowledge, skills and experience whilst working for the Mental Health Charity Mind for many years in a variety of roles, Rachel has worked primarily with psychosis, schizophrenia, suicide and self harm, bipolar disorder, anxiety and stress, low self esteem, exam stress, anger management, depression and dual diagnosis (substance misuse and mental health)
Rachel is a member of the British Association of Social Workers (BASW)
Training Coordinator: the organisation, composition, design and delivery of mental health, recovery and well being training courses to staff, volunteers and outside agencies.

Crisis Coordinator and Manager, overseeing intervention and crisis management for all the services with the organisation including Counselling Services, Housing Support Services, Day Centre Services, Children and Young Peoples services. Including on call emergency advice re: mental health crisis.
